VICTORIA – British Columbia continues to monitor and respond to the recent spread of the novel H1N1 flu virus (human swine flu). One hundred and two new cases have been confirmed since July 20 – 54 in Fraser Health, 28 in Vancouver Coastal Health, 16 on Vancouver Island, one in Northern Health and three in Interior Health – for a total of 536 cases in the province, the vast majority of which have been mild cases with patients either recovered or currently recovering.
