Governance
eHealth will provide faster, safer, better healthcare across B.C. through partnerships with the Health Authorities, Health Professionals and Colleges.
The Ministry of Health has overall responsibility for ensuring quality, appropriate and timely health services are available to British Columbians, but it is the province’s six health authorities that deliver local health services.
The Health Authorities have numerous local eHealth projects underway - many in telehealth. However, they are also working with the Province on the seven ehealth projects that will help patients anywhere B.C.
The major health practitioner groups in B.C. also provide oversight and input to the process to make sure their members concerns are recognized.
