Emergency and Health Services Commission
The Emergency and Health Services Commission (EHSC) is continued under the Emergency and Health Services Act and has the legislated mandate to provide British Columbia residents and healthcare professionals with access to pre-hospital emergency services, and non-emergency health and information services.
The Commission is currently responsible for two operating entities: BC Ambulance Service, which provides emergency health services and ambulance services throughout the province of British Columbia, and HealthLink BC, an evolving tele-health care platform that provides multi-disciplined comprehensive self-care and health system navigation services to British Columbians and health care professionals.
