Transition Regulation – Applies to an EMA who Held a Licence on April 1, 2011, except First Responders

The EMA Regulation on continuing competency requirements includes a transition period for EMAs who held a licence on April 1, 2011, except first responders.

During the transition period, the director of the EMA Licensing Branch can require an assessment of an EMA’s competency if the director is of the opinion that it is necessary in the interest of public health and safety.

Previously Suspended EMA Licensees

If your licence was suspended in previous years, you would have received a letter in April, 2011 informing you of the assessment process and the terms and conditions of your licence.
