Written Examination

To schedule a written examination, follow these steps:

Use the list of approved examination locations to choose a location near you.
Contact the proctor of your choice and arrange a date and time which falls at least two weeks from when you submit your Written Examination Scheduling form.
Submit electronically the Written Examination Scheduling form.

If there is no approved examination location near you, please contact our office to arrange for an alternate proctor before submitting your Written Examination Scheduling form.

If you have a documented learning disability and require accommodation during EMA licensing exams, please provide supporting evidence of this disability along with your Written Examination Scheduling form.

Information about Written Examination

Multiple-choice exam.
Required for EMR, PCP and ACP licences.
Passing grade: 70 per cent or more.
Two opportunities to rewrite the examination if you are not successful the first time.
