Applying for Licensure in British Columbia – Complete a Paramedic Training program within B.C.

GETTING STARTED: (You may mail, fax or scan and email the required documents):

  • Submit a copy of your EMR, PCP or ACP Course Certificate
  • Submit an Application for License form Please ensure it is signed and dated
  • Pay the license fee for Licensing Evaluations:
    • Written exam fee (written and online exam) = $50.00 each
    • Practical Evaluation fee
      • For EMR and PCP levels = $400.00
      • For ACP level = $500
  • EMA Licensing Fee Schedulehttp://admin.moh.hnet.bc.ca/emaintra/policy/feeschedule.html Licensing Fees are payable by cheque or money order only - made out to the Minister of Finance and mailed to EMA Licensing Branch offices. PLEASE ENSURE YOUR NAME IS ON THE CHEQUE OR ON THE ACCOMPANYING LETTER.

  • Successfully complete all practical evaluation components (including any remedial assignments)
  • Successfully complete the Written examination (70% is required to pass)
  • Successfully complete the B.C. jurisprudence online exam (70% is required to pass)
  • Submit a recent (1 year old or less) colour photo of yourself.
The course certificate or transcripts, Application Form, fee payment and booking form are prerequisites to booking any evaluation. You will not be eligible to be registered for an exam until RECEIPT of all of these requirements.
