Below is a list of training programs provided by the noted agency that have been recognized by the EMA Licensing Board as meeting the requirements for licensure in the specified licence category. All training agencies seeking recognition of their training programs must submit their curriculum to the EMA Licensing Board. In addition, PCP and ACP programs must be accredited by the Canadian Medical Association, where accreditation processes exist, before they can be considered for recognition.

Once training is complete and certification is achieved, the student must successfully complete EMA Licensing Exams in order to become licensed.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • You must complete your licensing exams within one year of your certification.

  • EMA Licensing Branch offices are located in Victoria, B.C. Office hours are 8:00 am to 4:30pm. Please call 250 952-1211 or email emalb@victoria1.gov.bc.ca.
  • All licensing exams for new applicants consist of three components: a written exam, a practical evaluation and the B.C. jurisprudence online exam. These components can be completed in any order.
