Quick access to information based on government's structure
British Columbia is a province that is made up of striking geological features and a diverse landscape. However, with these advantages come certain dangers that the province needs to be prepared for. The risk of a natural disaster in B.C. is higher than most parts of Canada due to its distinct geography. British Columbians, first responders, and the health sector all need to be prepared for a large scale event such as an earthquake, tsunami, or landslide; among other emergencies such as a hazardous substance spill, pandemic or major power failure. It is important to know the risks and the steps that should be taken to be fully prepared if an emergency or disruption occurs.
