Workplace Health Promotion

Why offer flu shots at work?

The influenza virus, which is very easily transmitted, can cause up to five days absence from work and up to six weeks of ongoing symptoms. Influenza vaccination is an effective way to prevent this illness.

Popular workplace health promotion and prevention initiatives include:

  • health education
  • challenges or contests to promote physical activity, healthy eating and non-smoking
  • health risk screening
  • self-care programs
  • flu shots

Workplace health promotion and prevention initiatives show your commitment to the well being of your employees and send a message that their health is important!
