Client Rates
Client rates may change over time. Please contact your local health authority for more information on current client rates for publicly subsidized home and community care services.
Residential Care Facilities
Clients receiving residential care services pay a monthly client rate of up to 80 percent of their after-tax income. For more information on client rates for residential care services, please click here.
Family Care Homes
The client rate for family care home services is the same as that for residential care services.
Group Homes
Group home clients are responsible for operating costs not associated with care (such as food and rent). Rental costs vary, depending on income.
Assisted Living
Clients receiving assisted living services pay a monthly client rate of 70 percent of their after-tax income.
Professional Services
Case management, nursing and rehabilitation services are provided free of charge.
Home Support Services
There may be a daily client rate for home support services, depending on income. Most clients pay no client rate.
Respite Care
Client rates depend on the type of respite care required (such as home care or residential care).
Adult Day Centres
Centres usually charge a daily client rate to assist with the cost of craft supplies, transportation and meals. Ask your health authority for details.
