How is my input used?
When you complete the online survey, your answers are stored on a secure government computer. Only authorized employees can view any part of your answers.
When the survey closes, an authorized person reviews each survey and removes your personal information (name and address) from the survey answers. Your personal information is stored in a secure location so that we can get in touch with you if you make a request under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Your personal information is not used in any other manner.
All other identifying information, such as names of people or locations, is removed from your answers. All answers from all those who gave input are then forwarded to the Drug Benefit Council.
Your input, along with other information, is considered by the Drug Benefit Council. The Council is an independent advisory body. This 12-member council makes recommendations to the Ministry of Health as to whether a drug should or should not be considered for coverage under the BC PharmaCare program.
Is my privacy protected?
