Patient Assessment

To be eligible to participate in the Alzheimer's Drug Therapy Initiative, patients must receive initial scores of ≥ 10 to ≤ 26 on the Standardized Mini-Mental State Examination (SMMSE) and ≥ 4 to ≤ 6 on the Global Deterioration Scale (GDS).

To continue on the initiative, patients need to be reassessed at 6 month intervals and receive scores ≥ 10 on the SMMSE and be determined by the prescriber to have responded to therapy over the previous 6 months.
