Demographically, the teen population differs from British Columbia on the following:

Children - the teen population is more likely to come from a household with other children;

Education - the teen population has a lower level of education than for the province overall, but it should be noted they are in the process of being educated;

Income Adequacy - the teen population has a lower level of income adequacy – low (23% vs. 15%) and high (48% vs. 59%). However, a large proportion of teens did not know the annual household income for their household;

Place of Birth - the teen population has more residents born inside Canada (87% vs. 79%) and fewer born outside Canada (13% vs. 21%); and,

Labour Force Status - the teen population is primarily comprised of students.
