Information in the Surgical Wait List Registry comes directly from participating hospitals. The accuracy and currency of the registry is entirely dependent on the data hospitals submit. The Ministry of Health Services assumes no liability for the hospital information.

Some hospitals are in the midst of changing their computer systems, resulting in a lag in their wait times reporting. As those hospitals complete their computer upgrades and more hospitals participate in the Surgical Wait List Registry, the database will be expanded.

For some hospitals, the dates for median wait time and the patients waiting differ. This is because those hospitals were unable to submit their data for this full reporting period. The median wait time is always calculated based on the previous three months from the end of the reporting period.
